The Radiance That Holds Us All

There is a light before the dawn of creation—a light so pure that no shadow can touch it, so steady that no storm can dim it, so vast that the galaxies themselves spin within its embrace. This is the Light of Christ, the Word through whom all things were made, the Alpha and Omega, the breath of the Spirit hovering over the waters before time began.

And here is the mystery: that same light lives in you.

Not as an abstract idea, not as a distant theological concept, but as a living flame in the sanctuary of your heart. It is the lamp the world did not light and cannot extinguish. It is the heartbeat of your true identity, the “I Am” that is older than your name, older than your first breath, and eternal beyond your last.

When the Master said, “You are the light of the world… let your light shine before others” (Matthew 5:14,16), He was not offering a metaphor—He was revealing your nature. To awaken to this truth is to step into what mystics call unitive consciousness, where the walls between “you” and “God,” “you” and “others,” begin to dissolve, and all becomes a single field of love.

The Great Descent and the Great Rising

The journey is not about escaping the world into the clouds of heaven; it is about letting heaven descend into every fiber of your being, until your gaze, your touch, your presence becomes a living benediction. This is the Christ-way—fully divine, fully human, fully here.

In James Fowler’s language, this is the universalizing faith stage, when the soul, aflame with God’s love, ceases to live for itself alone. The will is surrendered, not in resignation, but in radiant trust. Love becomes the atmosphere you breathe, justice the natural outflow of your steps, compassion the law written on your heart.

Seeing With the Eyes of Wholeness

In ascension consciousness, you no longer see the world as a battlefield of opposites. You see it as the Beloved sees it—whole, luminous, holy even in its brokenness. The person who irritates you, the stranger who frightens you, the system that wounds—none are beyond redemption, for the Light is in them, too.

This seeing is not passive. It moves you to act, but your action flows from mercy rather than judgment, from healing rather than conquest. You become a lamp placed on a hill, and though your own hands may feel small, the Light works through them in ways you cannot measure.

Living as the Radiant Path

To live this way is to become transparent to the Divine, a clear vessel for the flow of Spirit into the world. Every breath becomes prayer. Every encounter becomes sacrament. Every day becomes another step in the spiral dance of love, where your life’s outer form is shaped by the unshakable still point within.

You may not feel “ready.” You may believe the light in you is too small. But here is the truth: the Christ-light does not grow brighter by striving—it shines because it is. All you need is to turn toward it, again and again, polishing the lamp’s glass with forgiveness, humility, and joy.

Today, pause. Place your hand on your heart. Feel the pulse that has been beating since before you could form words. Let your breath deepen. And know:
You are not simply carrying the light.
You are the light.
And the Light in you is the Light of the world.

Namaste with love and blessed be your joy!
Always,
Shannon
